Noodles with TCM-Inspired Air-Fried Chicken Shu Mai
I’m so grateful to be able to enjoy some treats that I consider nourishing and satiating aka #comfortfood. Recently, my meal preparation has involved a whole lot of consideration for two seniors living with diabetes, arthritis, and gout. Add to that the psychological aspects of aging.
However, I believe that for one to be able to continuously give oneself in service, one should prioritize one’s well-being first. After all, how can you be of service to others if you’re showing disservice to yourself, yeah?
So, I enjoyed several dishes that I often used to make. Today’s Katutubo Thursday is about persistence aka pananatili.

It’s not just about persistence, it’s also about flourishing. Here is a list of some recipes I consider my #pagkaingginhawa.
Vegetarian Wheat Tortilla Pizza
Bamboo Shoots in Coconut Cream (Ginataang Labong)
Amidst everything, I am more than grateful to have the persistence to keep flourishing through food.

"whooo-what?!" Yeti to me.

"Giving you the could shoulder, #WHoooman!" Kisig to me.
And of course, having my #bhooiz around, every day is always full of laughter, LOVE, and doggo-ness!
If you happen to make any of the recipes listed above, I’d love to know your personal touches and, of course, drool over your creations on IG @amreyskitchen #amreyskitchen #amapolism #mindfuleating.
Remember, sharing is loving.
