Chronicles of a WHOoman: TiKi’s Chicken Liver and Heart Adobo | Amrey’s Kitchen™

Published on 29 June 2025 at 10:10

Sundays at home are sacred. It’s the one day I slow down and enjoy my favorite rituals—replenishing Pawntee’s Grub™ (holistic dog treats) and cooking some comfort food with the #bhooiz.

One of our go-to dishes? Adobo. I have several versions of adobo, but this one uses chicken offal and marble potatoes. It’s rich, earthy, and surprisingly elegant for something so easy to prepare.

This version of adobo is soulful and satisfying, loaded with immune-boosting garlic and ginger, cleansing calamansi, and starchy little potatoes that keep bellies full and happy. I’ve always found joy in mindful cooking, and adobo is that perfect dish—humble enough for everyday meals, but customizable for something gourmet.

I encourage you to slow down on a Sunday, too. Light a candle. Dance to your fave tune. Stir gently. Breathe deeply. Let the aroma of a home-cooked meal fill your home. That’s what #mindfuleating is about. After all, nourishment is more than just food—it’s enjoying the present moment.

#bhooiz be like: give us baked chicken liver, whooman
