The beginning of a new year often comes with pressure —
to resolve, to reinvent, to rush forward.

 

This year, I’m choosing something gentler.

 

Instead of overhaul, intention.
Instead of excess, nourishment.
Instead of urgency, awareness.

 

Toyo Ba ’Ka Mo?™ belongs in this kind of beginning —
not as a promise to do better, but as a reminder to listen.

 

Cooking can be a way to return to ourselves.
Not perfectly.
Not performatively.
But honestly.

 

As the year opens, may we choose food that sustains us, routines that ground us, and practices that meet us where we are.
